NEPRA reduces price of K-Electric by 4 paisas

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reduced prices of K-Electric by four paisas.

During the hearing for reduction of electricity prices of K-Electric, the NEPRA announced to decrease the prices by four paisas. The K-Electric had requested the NEPRA to review prices under the head of fuel adjustment of March. The NEPRA also expressed reservations over less usage of electricity of the K-electric. According to it, the K-Electric only produced 56 per cent by their own means while it purchased 95 per cent. It further said the K-electric could produce electricity with Rs 5.16 per unit by 90 per cent from its own plants. However, the K-electric purchased it from NTDC for Rs 5.50 per unit.
