Monuments in Multan require Rs 73mln for conservation

The Multan archaeology department sent proposals worth Rs 73 million for conservation of five monuments including four shrines.

Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Archaeology Ghulam Muhammad while talking to APP informed that they had submitted proposals for conservation of Shiekh Sadin, Shiekh Ladhu, Tahir Khan Nahar (Muzaffargarh) and Ali Akbar shrine in Multan. Similarly, proposal for restoration of Mauza Dilu Ray Mound has also been sent to the Punjab government.

A sum of Rs 73 million would be enough to carry out work at these monuments, he said. He further stated that Rs five million for Shiekh Sadin, Rs 15 for Shiekh Ladhu, Rs 15 million for Tahir Khan Nahar, Rs 16 for shrine of Hazrat Ali Akbar and Rs 32 million were suggested for Mauza Dilu Ray Mound.
