Syed Noor to shoot upcoming project in Karachi

Pakistani film director Syed Noor during a press conference said that the shooting of his upcoming film will take place in Karachi.

Speaking to the media he said that 30 per cent of the movie’s shooting will take place in Sindh’s capital.

However, talking about the revival of the cinema he added that the Pakistani cinemas are being revived as numerous movies are being made in the country.

He added, “There is a dearth of talent in this country. You will not see anywhere as Waheed Murad, Lehri or a Mohammad Ali. But when these actors came into the industry, they were not that perfect. It took them time to ace their performances.”

The filmmaker said that people from all backgrounds are making films in the provisional capital as Karachi is the hub of all activities.

“This is the revival that we talk about. I had already stated in a press conference earlier that Karachi would be the city to revive cinema in the country,” Syed added.

Noor said that he would not restrict himself just to Karachi and would go to Lahore and Swat for shooting other movies.

He was of the view that the film directors of Karachi don’t seem to realise the beauty of the metropolis. He further asserted that he won’t show any negative side of the city in the project.
