Singer Humera Arshad has filed for divorce from her husband Ahmed Butt at a local court in Lahore.
In her plea, the singer said that she was struggling to continue with her husband even after reconciliation. “We had several tough times in our relationship despite the fact I patched up just for the sake of my son,” she added.
The singer was in the media spotlight in June 2015 over the same issue. She had reportedly approached the court and submitted a divorce plea, but retracted later after reconciliation with her husband.
The couple accused each other of fraud and theft at various press conferences and in statements. Following the ugly spat between husband and wife, Arshad had filed a claim for divorce in court.
During this period, Humaira Arshad’s brother Ghulam Abbas and Sakhi Sarwar played an important role in resolving differences between the couple and pacifying the situation.
According to sources, the couple had not only reconciled but also buried the hatchet regarding all of their conflicting issues from the past.
Speaking to a local media channel, Humaira Arshad thanked her fans and well-wishers for the support they offered during her hard times.
