Mustafa Kamal’s convoy pelted with stones in Sukkur

Pak Sarzameen Party Chief Mustafa Kamal’s convoy was pelted with stones and his posters were torn off on Sunday, as he reached to inaugurate the party’s Sukkur office.

The incident occurred when Kamal’s convoy reached Shikharpur Phattak. Furious opponents which included women and children first pelted policemen deployed on guard duties with stones, and then threw tomatoes, eggs and slippers at the PSP leaders’ cars.

After police controlled the mob, Kamal inaugurated the party office.

Speaking to the media after the incident Kamal said that he only prays for the people who pelted his convoy with stones.

“Three days prior to my departure someone begins to follow me around. We are following Sunnat by being pelted with stones,” he said, hinting at the incident at Taif when stones were hurled at the Prophet (PBUH).

“A day will come when the same people will shower us with flowers,” he said.

Addressing a rally earlier during the day, Kamal said, “Every party leader says he will solve the problems of the public. But once in power he fails to keep his promise.”
