A commander of the banned Baloch Liberation Army surrendered before the Frontier Constabulary, the civil administration and local elders in Kharan on Sunday.
Ahmed Nawaz, a key BLA commander, laid down his arms before security agencies, wrapped himself in the national flag and sung the national anthem, an FC spokesman said.
Nawaz was responsible for recruiting miscreants and training militants in his organisation to carry out terrorist activities in different areas of the province, the spokesman added.
