Security agencies late Saturday night conducted a combing operation in several cities of Punjab. 12 alleged suspects were taken into custody from Gujrat while 6, including a woman, were arrested from Faisalabad.
Intelligence department conducted the search operation in Meran Wala Bangla area of Faisalabad and managed to nab 6 terrorists including a woman. Ammunition was also recovered from the suspects.
The arrested terrorists have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Meanwhile police and intelligence department also conducted a combing operation in Kotla Karyala area of Gujrat. 12 suspects were taken into custody while ammunition was also recovered from the suspects.
The operations are being conducted after it was decided during the Corps Commanders’ Conference that Pak army will conduct combing operations throughout the country in order to tighten the noose against terrorists and their facilitators hiding out in urban areas.
