Police arrested a notorious criminal besides recovering arms and hand grenades from his possession after fire exchange on Sunday.
The police came across proclaimed offender Meeral alias Meeroz at national highway in Faiz Gunj area of Khairpur where encounter took place in which the culprit was injured.
The police arrested the injured PO, Meeral alias Meeroz, having a head bounty of Rs 100,00,00 and seized two hand grenades, gun and bullets from his custody. The injured criminal was shifted to a hospital.
The criminal was wanted by police in more than 15 criminals cases including murder, attempted murder, kidnapping for ransom, robberies and other serious crimes.
Meanwhile, police in Ghotki arrested four proclaimed offenders and recovered huge cache of weapons during a search operation on Sunday. Police officials said that the police on a tip-off regarding presence of criminal conducted a search operation in Obaro’s Mir Kosh area in district Ghotki.
During the operation, the police after little resistance arrested four POs and recovered huge quantity of arms including Kalashnikovs, SMGs, LMGs, pistols, thousands of bullets and explosives.
MAN FOUND DEAD IN SACHAL GOTH
A man was found dead in Sachal Goth area of the metropolis on Sunday.
According to rescue sources, a 25-year-old man, Mohammed Ali, son of Ahmed, was found dead with his throat slit near Khyber Hotel in Sachal Goth. The body was shifted to Abbassi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for autopsy.
