An Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for 20 Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders for non-appraence in a hate speech case.
Wasim Akhtar, Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan, Rauf Siddiqui and Qamar appeared before the court. The ATC issued non-bailable arrest warrants for otehr 20 MQM leaders including Dr Farooq Sattar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Rehma Hashmi, Rashid Godil, Saif Yar Khan and others. The court expressed displeasure over non-appearance of the investigation officer and adjourned the hearing on the request of counsel for the accused till June 4.
they shud be arrested as soon as possible.
Warrants not issued for the first ( or last) time. Looks like issueing 'non-bailable' warrants has become a fashion.
