A man gunned down his wife and her alleged lover for honour on Sunday and escaped from the scene after committing the crime.
Police said that the accused, over suspicion of having illicit relations, gunned down his wife and her alleged lover as they were gossiping with each other in Goth Jamal of Kandhkot. The culprit fled the scene after committing dual murder. The bodies were moved to a hospital for postmortem. The police after registering a case against the murderer started raids for his arrest.
ALLEGED FRAUDSTER HELD
A man has been arrested for allegedly looting and cheating citizens in the Preddy area of Karachi.
On tip-off, police conducted a raid at a hideout in Preddy area and arrested the alleged fraudster identified as Ateeq. Police claimed to have recovered a pistol and two cell phones from his possession.
According to SSP South Dr Farooq, Ateeq confessed to looting 50 cell phones and 10 laptops from citizens after cheating and defrauding them. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
