Bilawal blasts govt for putting names of two ex-PMs on ECL

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has condemned government for putting the names of two former Prime Ministers from PPP, Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf on Exit Control List (ECL).

In a press statement issued by PPP media cell on Sunday, Bilawal asked the ruling PML-N to desist from taking up the victimisation tools, which never worked against PPP in the past neither on supporters ( Jiyalas).

“Nawaz Sharif and his team was well aware that police torture, lashes, imprisonments, and even gallows could not deter the Jiyalas during dictatorial and their handpicked puppet regimes. Yet they are trying to compel the rusted weapons of victimisations against the time-tested leaders and workers of the PPP,” he added.

“It is a matter of shame for the Nawaz government to put the former elected prime ministers on ECL while facilitating a tin-pot dictator to go abroad on fake and fabricated medical certificates,” Bilawal added

Bilawal Bhutto said both these former prime minister flanked him during his speech in Kotli Kashmir when he had only reminded the PM of his own words about resignation demand.

“Nawaz Sharif is unsuccessfully trying to intimidate the PPP leaders,” he said, making it clear to the PML-N government that these prime ministers are jiyalas and they would again stand with him. He added that the attempts to blackmail PPP away from their principled stance would not succeed and the party will stand united against all odds.
