Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that opposition parties will discuss and then respond to the government if they are consulted over the issue of terms of reference (ToRs) for the proposed commission to probe Panama Leaks.
Talking to media on Saturday, he said that the PTI’s core committee has decided to further consult lawyers on the ToRs prepared by the opposition parties, adding that Aitzaz Ahsan and Hamid Khan have played a vital role in formation of the ToRs.
PTI leader asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to present himself for accountability over Panama Papers disclosures. He said that the opposition parties were not in favour of any confrontation with the government over the issue.
While commenting on the recent corruption scandal in Balochistan, he said that guardians of resources of the province were busy looting and plundering the national wealth. He said that it was shameful that a huge amount of money was recovered from the residence of the Balochistan finance secretary and called for joint efforts for the elimination of corruption.
