Gujranwala police on Saturday claimed to have killed an alleged murderer of Pakistan Muslim League N (PML-N) MPA late Chaudhry Shamshad in a police encounter.
On a tip-off, the police raided a hideout in Nafeh Tower area, where the suspect identified as Tariq Patwari, was staying and a shootout ensued. The police killed the suspect in exchange of fire.
According to police, Patwari was evading arrest after he killed the MPA, his son and one of his friends.
