Names of two former prime ministers (PMs) belonging to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have been place on Exit Control List (ECL). Leader of the Opposition in NA Syed Khurshid Shah condemned the decision terming it as political revenge.
According to Interior Ministry sources, the names of former prime ministers Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf have been put on ECL on the request of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Name of former PM Yousaf Raza Gilani was sent to NAB in a case pertaining to the appointment of the head of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) while Raja Pervez Ashraf’s name was sent in rental power case.
Leader of the Opposition in NA Syed Khurshid Shah strongly condemned the decision as a part of political revenge.
