After the release of Raees was postponed to January 26 from its initial Eid release, it turns out the film still faces competition in the box office.
Now, instead of Salman Khan’s Sultan, Hrithik’s Kaabil will be clashing with their film.
Just how stiff will be the competition?
According to the writer Sanjay Masoom, who has previously worked on Krrish and Krrish 3, describes the movie as “an interesting love story/revenge drama based in Mumbai.”
Hrithik falls in love and marries Yami Gautam, but in a plot twist her character dies, following which he sets out to seek revenge.
The writer also reveals, “Hrithik plays a blind man so I had to understand that aspect of the character before writing.” The film has been directed by Sanjay Gupta.
Hrithik shared the teaser for Kaabil along with a cryptic tweet: “Blinded by a million eyes watching me…when in fact I am the observer, I am the watcher … The mind’s eye sees all.”

The producer Rakesh Rohan is unperturbed by the impending clash with Raees: “We announced it first, way back in February, and will stick to our release date. I can’t comment on what happens at the box office now, but we have begun a three-month marathon schedule after which we will embark on post-production.”
