Under custody terrorist confesses to financing Al Qaeda with funds from DHA residents

An under custody alleged terrorist confessed to collecting hides,zakat, fitra and charity from the posh Defence Housing Authority for Al-Qaeda.

The accused was arrested in a search operation in Preedy Police Station jurisdiction some days back.

He said that he along with his accomplices; Zain Ansar and Anwar Kamil had planned to kidnap Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah’s son Asad Ali Shah.

He added that he had also stalked Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Waseem Akhtar on the orders of Commander Kashif.

The accused said that he had gone for combat training along with his brother Hasan to Waziristan.

In a separate confession Riyasat Baloch, an alleged member of the Uzair Baloch gang Aman Committee, revealed that he had killed several people including policemen.

He added that he would take tens of thousands of rupees as extortion from marble factories.

He said that police and Rangers had shut down their safe houses several times.

Baloch said he was involved in drug cartels, and his gang members would loot residents in the locality.

Another alleged criminal in custody arrested from Mehmoodabad, Ibrahim Malik confessed to killing six policemen in Korangi. He confessed to killing a political party worker Kamran Shah in 2014.
