Two girls stabbed near CJM, attacker flees unchallenged

Two sisters were stabbed in the Civil Lines police limits on Tuesday.

According to police, a girl law student had come to collect her seven-year-old sister from the Convent of Jesus and Mary school in the afternoon along with a driver. As the victims were boarding the car, an unidentified motorcyclist attacked them with a sharp-edged weapon and fled the scene.

The victims were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

Doctors said that the older girl had been stabbed in her neck, abdomen and chest while her minor sister had been stabbed in the abdomen.

Police sources said that the cause behind the attack would be ascertained after further investigation.
