Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Akram Khan Durrani on Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has failed to bring a positive change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to benefit the masses.
In his address on the arrival of PM Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to Bannu district to inaugurate several mega development projects, the federal minister said that despite three years of PTI’s rule in the province, most of the development budgets were unutilized, and only a single project of Hayatabad flyover was executed, saying that people of KP remain deprived of the basic development needs.
He said the public hospitals in KP lacked fundamental facilities like medicines and an adequate number of doctors, whereas no attention was being paid to revamp the roads in poor condition, adversely affecting health services delivery and development process.
On the other hand, PM Nawaz had given the gift of Hazara Motorway, Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway and a state-of-the-art kidney hospital in Saidu Sharif to the people of KP besides declaring the upgradation of Bannu airport and the foundation of a state of the art university in Lakki Marwat, he added.
Durrani also welcomed the inauguration of gas supply scheme to five union councils of Bannu costing Rs 260 million besides repair and reconstruction of Gambella-DI Khan-Kohat Indus Highway and two-way roads Norang-Kandi, Rangeenabad-Domail that would change the destiny of people.
