Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has announced to hold the PTI rally in Faisalabad on May 20.

Earlier today, it was reported that the rally has been postponed to May 8 after women harassment issue surfaced in Lahore.

Imran Khan said that Punjab Police failed to protect from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) goons. Imran added, “We will ensure exemplary punishment for those who harassed women at the rally”.

Party’s spokesperson stated that the party does not trust Punjab Police with rally’s security anymore. He said that the women participants remained safe and sound during 126-day long sit-in at D-Chowk.

(PTI) Women Wing on Tuesday passed the buck on the Punjab government for the incident of mistreatment with women in the PTI Lahore gathering held on Sunday.

PTI postponed the rally in Faisalabad due to internal riffs.

One of the victims of sexual harassment at Sunday’s rally had submitted an application in a police station against Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and held the Punjab government responsible for the mistreatment of women.

The victim said that security arrangements made by the party were very good. 10-12 unknown people showed up and created all the mess. Video evidence can be provided for the identification of the culprits. The Punjab government is responsible for what happened because they did not provide foolproof security, she said, while addressing a press conference at the chairman secretariat in Lahore.

PML-N’s women members had lambasted PTI’s leader for not knowing how to treat the women. They criticised Khan for eyeing leadership of the country when he could not handle a rally. On the other hand, PTI’s women politicians held a counter-press conference and stated that such a case never surfaced prior to rally in Lahore, PML-N’s centre.

Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had said that law enforcement agencies would arrest culprits after identifying them using CCTV cameras. A case was registered at Civil Lines Police Station. Sanaullah had further said that Khan’s arrest was likely in capacity of a facilitator.

  1. As if PML-N is interested in coming to empty PTI concerts. PTI is for frustrated people and that's why women harassment occurs

  2. The actual reason was that Imran wanted to fly to London to attend the potential winning ceremony of his old brother in law, Zac Goldsmith. But sources claims that his brother in law is going to lose badly.
