At least seven alleged terrorists, including three belonging to a group of target killers, were arrested during separate operations in different parts of the city on Monday evening.
According to sources, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted an operation on a tip-off and apprehended three gangsters involved in attacking police mobiles and killing several people, including Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Nasreen Jalil’s security guard along with another person and his daughter.
Separately, local police conducted an operation in Orangi Town’s Pirabad area and arrested a fake CTD official named Abdullah.
Police also seized ammunition from the suspect’s possession.
In another incident, police conducted an operation in Gulshan-i-Maymar area and apprehended three accused.
Police recovered a stolen oil tanker from their possession.
