Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the present government ‘s vision is to achieve sustainable economic growth by having major thrust on export sector which is facing crisis due to myopic policies of the past and seeking the full support of the World Trade Organisation in exports sector.
Talking to WTO Director General Roberto Azevedo in Islamabad, he said Pakistan eyes 150 billion dollars exports by 2025 under Vision 2025. He said the WTO’s support could be instrumental to realise this goal. Ahsan Iqbal said that policies of the incumbent government had put the national economy on path to progress which had also been acknowledged by the international financial institutions.
