5 hurt in blast during LPG refilling

 

 

 

As many as five people were injured, including a kid, when a blast occurred at an LPG decanting outlet at Burj, a remote village near Fateh Jang.

The blast was powerful as it was heard miles away, while fire turned the shop into ashes.

According to officials, the owner of shop had been illegally running the LPG decanting outlet.

The blast occurred in the shop where a small cylinder was being refilled.

This caused a chain reaction as two big cylinders lying nearby also exploded simultaneously.

The blast caused panic among the shopkeepers and residents of the area.

It took Rescue 1122 firefighters hours to extinguish the blaze and rescue nearby buildings.

The injured included Zainul Abideen, Mumtaz, Wasif, Ali Raza and two years old Fatima.

Some injured reported in critical condition and have been shifted to PIMS Islamabad.
