The Utility Stores Corporation has reduced the prices of pulses after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed it not to increase prices of essential goods without his prior approval.

The price of pulses at the Utility Stores saw an exceptional rise on Friday.

The price of white chickpeas was increased by Rs 40 per kilogram to be sold at Rs 155 per kilo. The price of black chickpeas similarly was raised by Rs 30 per kg.
