Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that education is the best weapon to compete terrorism, unrest, unemployment and other problems. The present Sindh government has restored Khairpur’s historical position by making it an education city and that is why their opponents are also admiring them, he added.
Speaking to an education achievement programme organised by NOWA Pirbhat on Sunday, he said the Sindh government had achieved remarkable achievements for promoting education in their province.
He said by establishing major education institutions at rural areas the Sindh government had proved that their government had driven out people of Sindh from illiteracy.
He further said that Sindh province was enriched with natural resources and its people were education friendly. Shah Mehmoood Qureshi during his recent visit to Sindh province admired its people which was a proof of their success.
The chief minister admired the services of Sindh NOWA Pirbhat and its PD Mola Bux Larik and said that NOWA Pirbhat was providing modern education to 4,000 children of 22 schools of District Khairpur which was an admirable act.
He announced a grant of Rs 25 lacs for the development of NOWA Pirbhat. Earlier, PD NOWA Pirbhat Mola Bux Larik addressed the programme and said that the organisation had started work since 1992 and imparted education to 2,800 girls through social action programme in rural areas.
After this, the chief minister visited different stalls established by various schools of NOWA Pirbhat and awarded Rs 25,000 prize to Mir Muhammad Solangi School Kunb for establishing the best stall.
