Former federal minister and religious scholar Dr Noorul Haq Qadri warned that thousands of his followers will come on roads if Namoos-e-Risalat law was changed.
While speaking to a graduating ceremony in Peshawar he said that Pakistani politicians want to make Pakistan a secular country where no one would have the right to ask their sons and daughters about their acts. He said a bill was tabled in National Assembly to make a law to suggest seven years of punishment for a husband if his wife complains of domestic abuse.
Ex-senator Hafiz Abdul Malik Qadri and religious scholars from Afghanistan, Karachi and other cities of Pakistan were present on the occasion.
