The body was informed that last year a summary to this effect had been sent to the Finance Division which assured to look into the matter.

An official of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs requested the members of the committee for a new summery of recommendations which will be sent to the Ministry of Finance.

The committee members said that a letter will be written to all the provincial assemblies for reviewing the perks and privileges enjoyed by the members of the provincial assemblies.

They said that MNAs are drawing around Rs 36,000 as basic pay, which is less than a federal secretary, even though their status is equal to that of a federal secretary.
