Lift the “Maalik” ban

The movie “Maalik”, directed by Ashir Azeem, has become the hot topic now days. In this movie, it has been shown that a feudal Chief Minister in Pakistan is involved in the rape of the innocent Afghani girl and other illegal activities. Basically, it demonstrates the negative and corrupt face of the politicians of Pakistan. Hence, several Ministers of Pakistan are displeased with the content of this movie. So the government of Pakistan has put the ban on this movie after its release. They considered this movie as an insult to them. The government of KPK has, however, refused to put the ban on this movie.

Only Allah knows that why Government is taking this movie so personally. We can take example of many Indian movies where they presented their Mantris as Villains. Similarly, this thing happened in the movie “Gabbar is Back,” and that has proved to be one of the most watched movie despite the fact it has demonstrated the corrupt politics of India – and surprisingly, India didn’t put any kind of restrictions on that movie.

I strictly condemn such act and request our government officials that they should start putting ban on the corrupt officers, who are ruining and defaming our country’s name rather than putting ban on this movie. I urge them to lift ban from the movie “Maalik” and let it be on the big screens again.
