Anushka Sharma’s first look as a woman wrestler Aarfa in Salman Khan’s Sultan proves that adage once again – anything men can do, women can do better. Fierce and fearless, Anushka shines in the one picture as she pins a male wrestler down.

It is not just the wrestler in the picture; Anushka has gone one-up on Salman Khan as well whose first look from the film met with mixed responses.
Like Salman, Anushka plays a wrestler in the film. The sports drama, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, is set to release this Eid in a box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is written-directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film has been shot in Karjat.
Anushka went through gruelling training for the film. Earlier, a source in the film unit had said, “She (Anushka) has been training with a team of wrestlers, who have been brought down from Delhi for a six-week period. They will help her get into the skin of her character. They have been training with her for four hours every day.”

Salman himself has praised the actor’s dedication and talent. “It has been great. It feels good to work with good and talented people,” he had said.
This is not the only film based on wrestling, which is in production right now. Aamir Khan is also busy shooting for Dangal, a film based on the life of wrestler Mahender Singh Phogat.
Other than Sultan, Anushka is busy with her home production Phillauri and also working in Karan Johar’s next with Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
