The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a serving Afghan army officer on Thursday.
FIA sources said that on an intelligence tip-off it started checking suspects at the Chaman checkpost during which a serving officer of the Afghan army was apprehended.
The detainee was illegally present in Chaman and he was detained while he was returning back to Afghanistan. The nabbed Afghan army office was handed over to security personnel for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has lauded the action of FIA.
