As many as 55 more dengue viral fever cases have been detected in Sindh province in a week, out of which 51 were reported from Karachi, taking the patients toll to 485 in the province since January 2016.
As per weekly report issued by the Dengue Prevention and Control Programme (DPCP), Sindh, at least 55 new dengue fever cases surfaced in Sindh province from 22 to 28 April 016, out of which 51 were reported from Karachi and one each from Thatta, Jamshoro, Tharparker and Umer Kot.
At least 51 new dengue fever cases were reported in Karachi last week, out of which 14 were reported from District Central, 13 from District South,12 from District West, nine from District East, two from District Malir and one from District Korangi.
This year a total 485 dengue fever cases had been reported in Sindh province since January 2016, out of which 459 were detected from Karachi, five from Hyderabad, three from Sukkur, two each from Tando Muhammad Khan, Thatta, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas and Naushero Feroz, one each from Tharparkar, Umer Kot, Sanghar, Ghotki, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirbad, Larkana, and Shikarpur, respectively. No death was reported from dengue fever this year so far.
