The rulers had looted taxpayers’ money with both hands and deprived the poor of basic needs, said Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi while addressing big gatherings in different towns of Sindh on the second day of the PTI’s anti-corruption rally on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the PTI’s anti-corruption rally reached Mirpurkhas after visiting Malir, Gharo, Thatta, Badin and other towns.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the PPP government and its administration tried their best to stop the PTI activists and masses from attending the rallies and installed barbed wires but the people crossed them and made the rally at Mirpurkhas a historic success.
He said the people of Mirpurkhas were deprived of all basic facilities. “They are deprived of clean water and basic healthcare facilities, but the cruel rulers are tight lipped on all these atrocities. Some 80 per cent money in the government kitty is collected from the poor people but the rulers have looted and plundered this national wealth mercilessly.”
Saluting the PTI workers, Qureshi said he would support them on every forum. He said his party would continue to raise the problems of people.
After Mirpurkhas, the rally visited Sindhri and Kandiyari where it was given a warm welcome. Later, in Sanghar, the anti-corruption march was given a warm welcome too.
Addressing on the occasion, Qureshi said people were unable to get government jobs in Sindh without paying bribes and they also could not get justice without greasing the palms of corrupt elements.
Dr Arif Alvi, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Zain Hassain Qureshi, Gul Muhammad Rind, Lal Malhi, Jay Parkash, Subhan Sahil and other leaders addressed the rally.
