Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday emphasised that reorganisation process should be reflective of the aspiration of and inspiration for the party and asked the provincial coordination committee to establish close liaison with all the party cadres for a successful transition to the new organisations up to district level.

He was presiding-over a meeting of the PPP Sindh coordination committee which called on him at Bilawal House on Tuesday. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and the committee members including Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Maulana Bux Chandio, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Nafeesa Shah and Rashid Rabbani attended the meeting.

The committee members briefed the PPP chairman about its deliberations conducted so far and assured him that they were deliberating on daily basis to meet the expectations of the chairman in accomplishing the Herculean task they had been entrusted with by the party leadership.

They informed Bilawal that general workers meetings would be held in every district of the province to seek their opinion and recommendations for nominating the new office-bearers for the district organisations. Same procedure would also be adopted for the nominations to the offices of party’s women, youth, student, minority, hari and other wings, they further informed.

Talking to the delegation, Bilawal said that people of Pakistan had attached great hopes to the current PPP leadership like their predecessors. “As the world’s top country with the largest proportion of youth population, we need to tap this potential for achieving greater progress as well as strengthening democracy and democratic norms,” he added.

The PPP chairman said besides infusing new blood into the party organisation, the senior party workers were also their great asset and their guidelines would always be welcomed as they had put up a long struggle full of sufferings and sacrifices.

Bilawal and the coordination committee appreciated the efforts of Syed Qaim Ali Shah and eulogised his role in running the party during difficult times and also winning the last two general elections in Sindh.
