An alleged facilitator of a commander of the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Afghanistan was arrested from Regi Lalma area of Peshawar.
Talking to reporters on Tuesday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Saifullah said that the suspect, Musa, has close links with an Afghanistan-based commander of ISIS named Abdullah, alias Cheeta.
He said that the suspect was wanted by the police for various crimes and was arrested during a search operation in Regi Lalma on Monday.
According to the DSP, the alleged criminal belonged to an inter-provincial criminal organisation. The DSP further informed that the suspect is under investigation.
