PIA pilots’ wages increased provisionally

 

 

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to increase the wages of its pilots provisionally.

According to official documents, the compensation of the pilots flying Airbus 310 and Airbus 320 has been increased by Rs 130,000. Likewise the salary of an Avion de Transport Regional (ATR) pilot has also been increased by Rs 107,000, whereas that of a Boeing 777 First officer has been raised by Rs 100,000.

The wages of the first officers of Airbus 310 and Airbus 320 have been increased by Rs 66,000 and that of a first officer catering an ATR by Rs 51,000.

According to PIA’s rules and regulations, increase in the salary of the workers will result in equivalent rise in pension. However, it needs to be kept in mind that the PIA administration has not increased the pensions of the retired employees for the past 5 years.
