Recently, Balochistan government announced the launch of a campaign against malaria in 21 districts of the province to raise awareness about malaria. The provincial Health Minister also gave a go-ahead and held World Malaria Day on 25 April to eradicate the disease. In Pakistan nearly 1.6 million people are being affected by malaria every year – including those in Balochistan. I really appreciate the work of the government to launch malaria campaign in Balochistan to protect the lives of millions of people. Still, the health concern authorities should provide more facilities to eradicate malaria in the province.
