5.8 magnitude quake jolts parts of KP

An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale rocked different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa early Monday morning.

The tremor was felt in Peshawar, Swat, Abbottabad, Chitral, Malakand, Bonair, Shagla, Swabi, Lower Dir and their surrounding areas.

People came out of their homes in panic. No loss of life was reported due to earthquake.

According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the epicentre of the quake was located in Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region at the depth of 116 kilometres.
