Over 286,000 FATA TDPs return home

More than 286,000 temporarily displaced persons (TDPS) of FATA have so far returned to their native areas.

According to the FATA Disaster Management Authority, 86,500 displaced persons of Khyber Agency, 78,800 of Bajaur and 37,000 dislocated persons of North Waziristan Agency have returned to their homes.

Similarly, more than 60,000 TDPs of Mohmand Agency, 20,200 of Orakzai and 16,100 displaced persons of Kurram Agency returned to their native areas.

The federal government has given Rs 35,000 cash assistance and six month ration to the families returning to their homes.
