Wassan says next 10 days crucial for accountability

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Manzoor Wassan has once again captured the media spotlight for his political prophecy, saying that next 10 days are crucial in the politics of Pakistan.

He referred his prediction to the current political storm caused by accountability wave in the ruling quarters.

“Accountability net will be extended not only to small but also big fish,” he claimed. Wassan is a known for making predictions – mostly political ones – that mainly draw him into media attention. He said the month of May was very important. “Everybody would be held accountable.”

The PPP leader said that some would be sent to jail while others would flee the country. “Not just the game ends here, some will also be brought back from abroad,” he claimed. It may be noted that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif had ordered dismissal of top 11 army officers a day after making a statement that ‘across-the-board accountability is essential for prosperous Pakistan.”

He had stated that enduring peace and stability could not be ensured unless menace of corruption was uprooted. “Pakistan’s Armed forces will fully support every meaningful effort in that direction which would ensure a better future for our next generations.” He also said that steps would be taken to eliminate corruption as well as terrorism for progress of Pakistan. The initiatives would reflect in development of the country.
