Orange Line train project to be completed on time: CM

A high-level delegation led by Zhu Pengfei, the vice president of prominent Chinese company NORINCO which is working on Orange Line Metro Train project, met Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday.

The pace of civil works of the project was discussed during the meeting.

Zhu Pengfei expressed satisfaction over the progress of civil works of the project and assured completion of the project within the stipulated time.

Talking to the delegation, CM Sharif said that the Orange Line train project was an extraordinary gift which reflected Pak-China friendship, love and brotherhood. He said that the Chinese president, prime minister and the government had given this invaluable gift to the people of Lahore and Pakistanis could never forget this gesture. He said that a high standard was being maintained with regards to the civil works.

Sharif said that the Orange Line project would be a masterpiece of architecture, transparency and quality, adding that it would prove to be a game changer with regards to provision of modern, speedy and economical travel facilities to citizens.

The chief minister said that civil works of the project were being carried out round the clock and would be completed within the stipulated period.
