PM expresses zero-tolerance for terrorism

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said the government has adopted a policy of zero-tolerance on terrorism.

Talking to Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni, Nawaz said Operation Zarb-e-Azb has dismantled network and safe havens of terrorists.

Prime Minister Nawaz said operation against criminals and extortionists in Karachi has restored peace in the city. He said the country is marching on its way to achieve long term economic stability and fully exploit its immense natural resources.

He said the government is pursuing a robust national policy to overcome the energy shortage and positive economic indicators reflect the government’s efforts for revival of economy.

Nawaz Sharif said the improved law and order situation and the business-friendly environment have restored the confidence of investors.

Italian Foreign Minister lauded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s efforts against extremism and terrorism.

He said Pakistan’s reach out to neighbours and its efforts for restoration of peace and stability in Afghanistan are highly appreciable.

The Italian FM briefed Nawaz Sharif on the upcoming visit of Italian prime minister to Pakistan.
