Pakistan Cup 2016: KP, Punjab ready for a clash today

Younis Khan-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Shoaib Malik eleven representing Punjab are scheduled for a clash on Friday in mega domestic event, Pakistan Cup 2016.

The teams that are yet to taste their first victories in the tournament will meet in Iqbal Stadium at 3pm.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have played one match each in the event so far and both lost.

On Thursday, Sindh emerged victorious in the third match of the Pakistan Cup, beating Balochistan by 42 runs. The match was restricted to 31 overs due to rain.

Exceptional performances, with a century each, by Khurram Manzoor and Sami Aslam handed Balochistan its defeat.

The tournament started on April 19th April and will continue until 1st May.

KP squad:

Younis Khan (c), Rahat Ali, Ahmed Shehzad, Azizullah, Naveed Yasin, Fakhar Zaman, Faheen Ashraf, Bismillah Khan, Yasir Shah, Rameez Aziz, Zohaib Khan, Sadaif Mehdi and Hayatullah (U19).

Punjab squad:

Shoaib Malik (c), Zulfiqar Babar, Shan Masood, Asif Ali, Adnan Ghaus, Kashif Bhatti, Aamir Yamin, Mohammad Rizwan, Asad Shafiq, Saad Nasim, Amad Butt, Saif Badar (U19), Salman Butt, Ehsan Adil and Akbarur Rehman.
