CJP, NAB chief discuss corruption cases

National Accountability Bureau Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali on Friday and presented the accountability watchdog’s annual report to him.

During the meeting, they also exchanged views on corruption cases.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had decided to form a judicial commission to probe Panama Papers as demanded by the opposition parties. The government had been insisting to initiate a probe through a commission headed by a retired judge, however the opposition rejected this recommendation.
