CDGL to set up Ramzan bazaars in city

District Coordination Officer Lahore Capt. (r.) Muhammad Usman has said that the city district government will set up 28 Ramzan bazaars in different parts of the city to provide maximum relief to the citizens during the holy month of Ramzan.

The DCO expressed these views while chairing a meeting to review the preparations of towns for Ramzaan bazaars.

The meeting was attended by town administrators, assistant commissioners, district officers of livestock, industries, labour, and the TMOs of nine towns.

Usman further said that a Madni Dastar Khawan would be set up in all nine towns where free food would be given to citizens at the time of Iftar.

He directed the authorities to ensure regular supply of fresh vegetables, meat and fruits to the bazaars.

He directed the market committee officials to establish special stalls in all Ramzan bazaars where fresh vegetables would be available till closing of the bazaars.

He instructed the administrators of towns to visit the sites of bazaars to monitor the security arrangements on daily basis.

He added that special attention must be paid to the parking areas , installation of walk through gates and CCTV cameras for the safety of people. The DCO said that child labour would be strictly banned in the bazaars.
