33 more dengue cases emerge in city

At least 33 more dengue viral fever cases have emerged in Sindh province in a week, out of which 28 occurred in Karachi, taking the patients toll to 430 across the province since 1st January 2016.

According to a report issued by Dengue Prevention and Control Program (DPCP) Sindh, as many as 33 new dengue fever cases have been detected across Sindh province from 15 to 21 April 2016, out of which 28 from Karachi and one each from Tando Muhammad Khan, Sukkur, Khairpur, Naushero Feroz, and Mirpurkhas

A total 430 dengue fever cases had been reported in Sindh province since 1st January 2016, out of which 408 were detected from Karachi, five from Hyderabad, three from Sukkur, two each from Tando Muhammad Khan,Mirpurkhas and Naushero Feroz , one each from Larkana, Khairpur, Jamshoro, Sanghar, Ghotki, Thatta, Shikarpur and Shaheed Benazirbad. No death was reported from dengue fever this year so far.
