Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan has admitted to have established offshore firms after his name emerged in the Panama Papers.
He said that he owned real estate businesses in several countries around the world. However, he had declared them to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He said he was ready to hand himself to the law in case of any wrong doing or illegal activity.
While addressing a press conference, Aleem Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should be ready to face a transparent enquiry into his offshore firms. He said that the Sharif family had concealed their assets since the last 30 years from the public, due to which they were in the current situation.
If only the Sharifs had declared their wealth like Mr. Aleem Khan had truthfully and honestly to the FBR and Election Commission, we wouldn't even be having this discussion about the Sharif family's lies, deception and corruption. Don't you wonder why the Election Commission has yet to act to denotify PM's parliament seat? Hmm..
