Former governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar has said that it is not the PTI but the PML-N that is pursuing the politics of boycott.

He questioned as to why the government was afraid of forming a commission led by the chief justice of Pakistan to probe Panama Leaks issue. He said that it was a democratic and constitutional right of every citizen to stage a protest against corruption and looting.

The policies being adopted by the rulers are the biggest threat to their government, he said, adding that the worst load shedding in the country has exposed the incompetence of the rulers.

He expressed these views while speaking to different delegations of the PTI who called on him to discuss matters related to the party’s foundation day.

Former governor said PTI was in no need to hatch conspiracies against incumbents. Rather, he said, rulers’ corruption and looting were enough for their destruction. He said it was about time rulers are held accountable, adding that the rulers try to hide behind democracy every time their corruption is exposed.

All efforts to cover up their corruption would be failed. Rulers will have to answer for their corruption on every front. The PTI has been raising its voice against rulers’ corruption and looting from the day one, he said.

He said if rulers want us to cancel our protest, they should stop the corrupt practices. PTI won’t act as silent spectator and would protest till the elimination of corruption in the country, he said.

Sarwar also criticised the government for its failure to end load shedding and said that the government had been exposed before the masses. Country was still facing worst situation of load shedding and it seems that the load shedding would not end even by 2018, he added.
