PM’s dishonesty exposed through Panama leaks: Wattoo

Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former chief minister Punjab Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has said that the shocking revelations about the offshore businesses of the prime minister’s family have exposed their dishonesty before the entire nation and there is no need for further evidence and authentication in this regard. He said he has advised PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to set up his team immediately consisting of youth for success in the 2018 general elections and focus on staying in Punjab rather than just visiting.“I have advised Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in party meetings to restore the real power of the party by strongly opposing the PML-N government’s anti-people policies,” Wattoo said and added, “He has vowed that the blood of the PPP’s martyrs will not go to waste and the party will always stand against the anti-people policies of the government.”He said the Punjab government has failed to eliminate Chhoto Gang in the past seven years, and the gang has exposed and stomped on the false claims of good governance of the present government.Talking to media Monday, Wattoo said the issue of offshore companies reportedly owned by the children of the prime minister is not an ordinary matter, and the whole nation has stood up against the corruption of the ruling party after the disclosure of written agreements and declaration of confessional statements in relation to the offshore investments. He added that the party is standing with the nation on this issue and that it is in contact with other political parties too. He further added that the PPP would make a joint strategy with the opposition parties and would protest in and outside the parliament within the constitutional limits against the offshore investments of the rulers.Wattoo said that all the government’s schemes have failed and now its corruption has also been exposed before the nation. “The rulers need to respond to the corruption charges and tell the nation the truth about their offshore businesses,” he said.Wattoo urged the PM to declare his personal and family assets within the country and overseas like he had done it.
