The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday adjourned the hearing of a case regarding foreign assets against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and 64 others.

Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan heard the case where the petitioner’s lawyer Barrister Iqbal Jaffry told the court that 64 prominent leaders including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PTI chief Imran Khan and Asif Ali Zardari have offshore accounts.

He urged the court to direct action against these politicians and order them to disclose their assets.

The lawyer also said that the plaintiff had not paid the fee; the court then asked the petitioner to pay the fee for the issuance of the notice.

Meanwhile, Aitzaz Ahsan registered a plea seeking to remove his name from the petition, saying that all the information regarding the assets is already there in the records of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Election Commission. The court adjourned the hearing till April 26.
