Former petroleum minister Dr. Asim Hussain on Monday predicted that Nawaz Sharif went to London to escape the situation created after emergence of the Panama Leaks issue and that the prime minister would not come back to Pakistan.
He expressed these views while talking to media informally in court premises before the hearing of his case. Dr Asim said that the politicians went on foreign tours to handle the situation created after Panama Leaks.
Asim, a close aide to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, claimed that he has more secret information on the issue.
PM Nawaz had left for London on April 13 for his medical checkup, as stated by the spokesman of the PM house. The authorities stated that the prime minister had postponed the visit several times earlier due to important commitment.
