The judicial commission has extended the one-year tenure of Lahore High Court (LHC) judges and dismissed the service extension summary of four other additional judges.
The judicial commission for judges’ appointments held a meeting under Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali in Islamabad in which senior judges of the apex court, chief justice of the LHC, Federal Minister for Law Zahid Hamid, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan and other officials.
The commission decided to extend the tenure service of seven additional judges –Justice Shahid Mubeen, Justice Sardar Ahmad Naeem, Justice Iram Sajjad, Justice Raja Shahid Mehmood, Justice Sharam Sarvar, Justice Shahid Mehmood and Justice Sarfaraz.
The commission dismissed the summary of four additional judges – Justice Shahid Nadeem, Justice Mushtaq Tarar, Justice Afzal Javed and Justice Farrukh Gulzar.
